Simple and Sweet: DIY Ice Cream Bar for Summer

thank you walmart for sponsoring this post!

setting up an ice cream bar at home can turn any day into a special occasion…i’m speaking from experience! Recently, I decided to create a fun and inviting ice cream bar in my kitchen and it was honestly the best time!

i had so much fun shopping on walmart and picking pieces for the ice cream bar. they literally had everything I needed and more!

Tray Set Up

Charming Ice Cream Bar

I used this adorable two-tier tray to bring some visual interest to the ice cream bar (linked some additional trays here too!). I liked that I could have even more space to display toppings this way! I bought a variety of mix-ins and toppings, mainly different types of cookies and chocolate because that’s what we typically gravitate toward. To keep everything fresh and easily accessible, I used little mason jars and these adorable floral containers for berries. I chose to use mason jars to organize the toppings because they can be reused throughout the summer.

*I used a rolling pin to crush some of the mix-ins into bite-sized pieces, we loved mixing these into the ninja ice cream as well as using them as additional toppings!

Ice Cream Bar Accessories

Delicate Accessories for a Stylish Bar

I wanted the ice cream bar to blend seamlessly with my kitchen decor, so I picked accessories that flowed with the vintage touch of my kitchen decor. I found beautiful mini glass goblets that are perfect for serving ice cream, along with delicate dessert spoons. I included this ice cream scoop to add a touch of gold & pair back to our kitchen hardware.

I found this ice cream cone holder which was one of my favorite additions to this bar! if you plan to do an ice cream bar this summer I definitely recommend getting one of these! This makes the ice cream bar look inviting and easily accessible.

Creating Sweet Memories Together

Delightful Moments with Homemade Treats

Once the ice cream bar was set up, it was time to enjoy! We made a variety of ice cream flavors, including a peanut butter chocolate flavor that was amazing. The mix-ins and toppings made the experience so much fun. We even made a special batch of ice cream for Odin and he loved it!

Everything I used for this ice cream bar, including the trays and containers, is linked in my ltk!
