My Non-Negotiable Travel Essentials
As I gear up for my upcoming trip to Puerto Rico, I wanted to share my non-negotiable, must-haves, for my trip. These items are more than just packing list entries—they're the non-negotiables that ensure I’m fully prepped for the best trip possible! Let's dive into the essentials that will help you in your next journey!
Disposable Cameras
There's something so sweet about taking photos on a disposable camera and eagerly waiting to develop them… it’s so nostalgic to me! I love having them because they sprinkle a little vintage charm in my travels. i got this two-pack from Walmart for Puerto Rico and I just know I’m going to cherish these photos in the years to come!
A Quality, Reliable Speaker
Picture this…you're lounging on the beach, waves are crashing in the distance, and your favorite tunes are filling the air…lovely, right? Well, yes…until your speaker decides to call it quits lol. This has literally happened to us and it’s the actual worst. So instead, we invested in a reliable speaker that can last for all of the trips to come! we love love love sonos and have their system in our home too. all of our speakers are connected on the sonos app and I love that we can control everything in one place.
Not your average Travel Minis
These are not your average travel minis. Think of your favorite skincare and hair essentials, perfectly sized for travel convenience. I swear by ordering my go-to brands in travel-sized versions. I used to always just get whatever travel sizes were available from the travel section at Target but I feel like I’m less likely to toss the product at the end of the trip when I buy minis of what I use daily!
Plus, depending on how often you travel, these minis can last you the whole year, making them a good investment in my opinion lol. Plus if you’re like me and love miniature EVERYTHING, seeing your favorite daily essentials in mini form will just make your day haha. Amazon Sunnies
Raise your hand if you've ever experienced the heartbreak of losing a pair of pricey sunglasses on vacation. its devastating haha. That's why I swear by Amazon sunnies – they’re super cute, affordable, and worry-free. With a few pairs in your rotation, you can enjoy your adventures without the fear of losing your fave shades along the way.
Travel Bags and Battery Packs
Let's not forget the little things that make a big difference. i like to keep my essentials organized with travel bags for my makeup, skincare, and haircare goodies. I found cute checker ones from amazon and love them!
And of course, no traveler should leave home without a trusty battery pack. Whether you opt for a MagSafe charger (I have this one and have no complaints) or an Anker universal bank, you can’t go wrong with having one of these in your back pocket!
Sunscreen
Tula & Vacation sunscreens are superior quality and have skin-loving ingredients. I’m also bringing some Maui Babe to boost my tan!
I’m bringing my own sunscreen in my checked bag because whenever I travel, I swear sunscreen seems to be one of the most expensive things! Plus I feel like the higher quality sunscreens are harder to find when you’re traveling.

Hand Steamer
We’ve had this hand steamer for years, it’s perfect for travel since most places have an iron but no steamer (we’re team steam over here lol) this one is budget friendly and works so well!
Carry on bag
I recommend getting a trusty weekender bag. I love my Cleobella bag. I’ve wanted it for years and finally invested in it this year. It’s super spacious and has a lot of compartments. But I have also heard amazing things about the Beis weekender. My sister has one and used it for her trip to Europe recently.

Last but certainly not least, let's talk luggage. A reliable suitcase is a must for travel. i invested in Paravel years ago and we still have them, Shawn uses them now!
