Something you may or may not know about me is that I love wrapping presents! All of my friends and family members know that any gift that comes from me will be intricately wrapped. I’d like to think I’m a good gift-giver, but my specialty is definitely my gift wrapping. 😊 My favorite part is seeing how excited the recipient gets. I love how much they admire the wrapping before even getting to the gift!
I wanted to share a few of my tips and tricks for unique gift wrapping with you!
Furoshiki
My favorite way to wrap gifts? I love using fabric to wrap gifts – aka Furoshiki! You can use leftover fabric you have from a project, I’ve even seen people use old t-shirts, sheets, and even tea towels! If you don’t have any scraps you can always purchase a reel of burlap fabric and use this to wrap presents every year. It feels super cozy & looks great under our tree. 😄 I’ve seen people use old t-shirts, sheets, and even tea towels!

-
Bring one corner of the fabric under the gift box & tuck in
-
Take the opposite corner of the fabric and wrap it around the gift
-
Fold in the remaining two sides and tie them together on the top of the gift
-
The bottom flap will hold itself or you can pin it
Craft Paper Wrapping
Wrapping gifts with craft paper is a super classic and timeless look! I love customizing the craft wrapping paper with stamps. This woodland stamp set from Anthropologie can be used to create different patterns on the craft paper. It adds a personal touch to have “designed” the wrapping paper yourself. Bonus: you can use the stamps year after year to create custom paper!
Gift Toppers
The gift wrapping isn’t complete until you’ve added the toppers. Am I right?! I love using ornaments & ribbon to finish off my gifts. Choose individual ornaments that remind you of the person or find a set of ornaments you love to use across all of your gifts! Ribbon truly ties the whole gift together. For a classic look, you can’t go wrong with velvet ribbon! For a woodland nature-based look, I love this boxwood ribbon! There are so many options when it comes to gift toppers. Put Gifts in a Stocking
Last year for my mom, I put all of her gifts into a stocking & gifted her the entire thing! Typically, we only think of using stockings in our own homes but my mom absolutely loved getting her gift in a stocking.
This year, I’m planning to buy stockings for a handful of people on my list & use it as a “gift bag” to hold their gifts. As a fun bonus, they can use the stockings in their decor in the future! Here are some of my absolute FAVORITE stockings this year. There are so many good ones!!
