quick & easy diy gift ideas

The holiday season is truly the most beautiful time of the year...in my opinion. 🥰 It also happens to be quite a busy time as well! In order to utilize my time wisely, I make lots of lists. I make lists for groceries, lists of gifts for my family and my friends, lists of tasks to get done before guests come over. The lists go on and on, haha! But truthfully, no matter how many lists I make, there are still a couple of things I miss! This is why I love having a couple of go-to gifts on hand for any holiday parties or events we might go to! The gifts I’d love to share with you today are super easy to put together & are gifts that anyone would love. Walmart is sponsoring this post and I’m so excited to share how I’m using Walmart+: the amazing membership program by Walmart, this holiday season to get things DONE!!

Simmer Pot Jars

Anyone else love a holiday simmer pot?! 🙋‍♀️ I love making simmer pots in our home, they’re so cozy and nice to have simmering when guests are over too!  These simmer pot jars are a super simple gift to create. All you need to do is gather the dried ingredients for the simmer pot recipe you prefer (see below for ideas) and place them all into a jar. Add twine + a gift tag around the lid! I love using ornaments to dress up my holiday gifts. If you use a paper gift tag, you can write out the instructions for the simmer pot on the back of the tag. Easy as that—your gift is complete! P.S. If you’re making a lot of simmer pot jars, this set of 12 jars would be perfect.

Recipe

  • Citrus Cinnamon Spice: dried orange, cinnamon sticks, whole cloves, star anise

  • Warm Citrus Apple Spice: dried apples, dried orange, dried cranberries, cinnamon sticks, whole cloves, star anise, bay leaves

Instructions: Combine ingredients in a pot with water and bring to a boil. Once boiling, reduce heat to a simmer and enjoy!

Cozy Gift Basket

You truly can’t go wrong with a gift basket! Walmart has a lot of adorable baskets to choose from at great prices! I picked out this natural woven basket & gray and natural basket for my gifts. I love that the entire gift can be used including the basket! In one gift basket, I added in the simmer pot jars, the softest chenille throw, and a faux mini Christmas tree. For another, I used two simmer pot jars and a decorative tree! These are wonderful gifts fora cozy night in. If you want to add a little more to the basket, you could include a cozy movie or book!
