Fall Apple Cider Bar

Walmart is sponsoring this post, and I’m so excited to share my apple cider bar with you.

Fall is one of my favorite times of the year. 🍂🍁Not only do I love decorating for fall but I also love hosting this time of year. This apple cider bar is perfect for a fall get-together with friends and family. Whether you’re hosting a party or just having a few guests over — an apple cider bar is always a hit! You can use homemade or store-bought cider and pair it with some adorable apple rose treats! Whether you’re making your own cider or picking it up from the store, you can find everything you need at Walmart! I found the ingredients and materials I needed for these recipes using my Walmart+ membership — I’ve been a member for over a year and love all of the benefits that come with the membership.

Again, you can use store-bought or homemade cider for the bar. If you want to use homemade I included my recipe below and another delicious apple-inspired recipe with you.

Walmart+ offers free same-day delivery from your local store with no markups ($35 order min. Restrictions apply.). Plus you can save up to 10 cents on every gallon at over 14K stations nationwide (Fuel discount varies by location & station, subject to change.). With Walmart+, I was able to find l the ingredients I needed for my recipes and I even ordered a few pans and utensils with no additional shipping cost — thanks to the free shipping, with no order minimum benefit (Excludes most Marketplace items, location & freight surcharges.)!

Apple Cider Bar

I enjoy hosting and finding unique ways to create an experience for my guests. For a fall get-together, I set my apple cider bar up on my kitchen counter. To serve the cider, I put it into a drink pitcher with a spout. It’s super easy for guests to help themselves and add any toppings of their choice. In your home, set up the bar in a spot that is conveniently located for guests to grab a drink and a tasty apple rose treat.

Supplies:

  • Drink pitcher

  • Dessert dish

  • Stirring spoon

  • Cider mugs

  • Apple cider

  • Ground cinnamon

  • Cloves

  • Star anise

  • Cinnamon sticks

  • Cranberries

  • Apple rose treats

Homemade Apple Cider

Apple cider is a fall staple. I recently learned how to make this slow cooker recipe and was shocked by how simple it is. You put all the ingredients into a slow cooker and mash them, then strain the liquid — I find the process SO relaxing and enjoyable. Your home will smell delicious as the apple cider cooks, similar to a stovetop potpourri. PS. If you love a stovetop potpourri (aka simmer pot), you can find some of my favorite recipes here. You can use the leftover scraps from the cider to create a simmer pot too!

I always thought apple cider was made with a juicer, so I never knew I’d be able to make it at home. I’ll be making this recipe quite a bit this year. These would be fun to can and use as gifts for friends and family too! Just tie some jute string around the can and add a fun tag.

Ingredients:

10-12 apples, quartered (I used a mixture of honeycrisp and gala)

1 orange, quartered

4 cinnamon sticks

2 tsp Pumpkin pie spice

10 cups water

¼ cup maple syrup

Directions:

Place all ingredients except for the maple syrup in a crock pot

Cook on high for at least 4 hours, until the apples are soft

Mash apples and oranges with a potato masher (this gets all of the juices out of the fruit)

Cover and cook on high for another 2 hours

Use a fine mesh strainer to drain all of the juice from the fruit. You can discard the leftover solids or create a simmer pot with them!

Add in your sweetener! Serve warm or chill and serve cold! If you’re using a drink dispenser, you’ll have to serve it chilled!

Apple Roses

These are so much fun and use only a few simple ingredients. If you’ve been on Pinterest, you’ve probably seen a variation of this recipe in your home feed. I wanted to share how to easily make these beautiful apple roses — if you have any dietary restrictions, you can substitute ingredients to meet your diet.

I love these for family get-togethers or any other type of gathering. Simply roll thinly sliced apples in puff pastry and bake them in muffin tins. I love food that sparks conversation, and these roses definitely do that! They’re so fun and taste like personal-sized apple pies.

Ingredients:

1 puff pastry sheet, thawed

2 medium apples, I used Honeycrisp

Cinnamon to sprinkle

brown sugar to sprinkle

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375

Thinly cut apple slices

Place apple slices in the microwave for about 45 seconds, this will make them flexible/easier to handle!

Roll out puff pastry and cut strips to be about 2 ½” wide

Line apple slices along the edge of one strip, with the rounded side along the outside edge

Lay opposite long edge of puff pastry on top of apples

Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar on top of the puff pastry

Roll from one end to the other, making a rose shape!

Place in an oven tin and bake for about 25 minutes
